A message from Pastor John Wethington on this effort,
I love Oak Forest and the surrounding communities. I am a native Oak Forester and feel compelled like many of you to help our community rebuild. Because this is my community I feel a special passion to take ownership and address the local needs.
The church I pastor, White Oak Baptist Church, loves Oak Forest and over the years I have seen how much Oak Forest loves White Oak Baptist Church. White Oak is a church that was planted in 1936 when our community was a simple rural area with farms and horses. White Oak has had the joy of watching Oak Forest and the surrounding communities grow up and mature into the wonderful living places they are today. Our church and the community have gone through all the growing pains and joys together and now we are proud to support local residents as they rebuild their homes and lives.
This account has been set up to help people in our community. It was created and will be managed by fellow Oak Forest residents who are a part of White Oak. 100% of the giving goes directly to specific needs of people in the Oak Forest / Greater Heights community.
Note - Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions, problems or if you need additional info. If you believe you may have sent your gift to the General Church Budget instead of the Oak Forest Giving Relief please simply email us and we will make sure your money gets to the proper place.
In This Together Forever,
Pastor John Wethington (email@example.com)
